With this weather it's hard to believe it's actually October. However, it was nice to do our family hayride without the need for snow gear. The hayride was beautiful and the children had a blast. Smores and hot chocolate were a big hit.
Next up is our trip to the pumpkin patch. My little guy can't wait to pick out his very own pumpkin.

Crafting with Kids
Have you all tried Pinterest? It's this amazing new website that allows you to organize, share, band save blogs, pictures, tutorials, and more. Currently I'm working on creating felt flowers from tutorials I've saved on pinterest. There are so many kids projects I'm so excited to try with my kids. There are ideas of handmade gifts the kids can make for the holidays. I has no idea how many different creations you can make with paint and a handprint. I'll be on the lookout for some fins crafts to do with the kids at our next MOMS club party.

Apple Picking
We are so excited to visit Sweet Berry Farm tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will hold out long enough. Apple picking is such a fall fun tradition. I love that the trees are low so no climbing is required. I went last weekend with the family but my apple addict has gone though them very quickly. Maybe this time I'll have enough to make an apple cake.
Sweet Berry Farm is so pretty. I'm hoping to get a few pictures. I just need my little guy to cooperate. You just never know if he'll feel like posing.
Hope to see you all tomorrow!

September
September events are off to a great start. We had several new moms attend our open house despite the buckets of rain. Our Family Ice Cream night was a huge success. This is one event we will have to schedule again. It was great to see the dads as well as the moms and kids. Sorry I missed coffee talk. Hope you all had fun catching up. We have more events still to come. Next up is a playground date in Bristol. See you soon.

Irene
What has your life been like the past few days? It's been crazy for us. 49 hours in the dark was lots more than I anticipated. We kept the kids entertained with puzzles, card games, and books. Bedtime was slightly difficult because the kids are used to sleeping with night lights. The pitch black was scary. Fortunately I had a supply of glow sticks to help. It was quite the adventure. Now if we can just get them back to school.

Last of Summer
For those of us with school age kids, summer is almost over. There is so much I wanted to do over summer break. Got to squeeze a few more things in this week. Of course we have to get to the beach at least once more. So much fun for the girls and boys to play in the surf and sand. Hopefully mother nature will cooperate and give us some great beach weather.
What was your favorite activity from this past summer?

Open House Time
Time to get this blog going again.
Welcome to the MOMS club of East Bay RI! We are a group of moms from Barrington, Bristol, and Warren RI. Our goal is to provide support, playgroups, & activities for moms and their children.
Our next event is the annual open house. We encourage current, new, and prospective members to attend this fun event. We'll have food and the kids will have a blast at the playground. It's a great opportunity to learn what we are all about. You can sign up for a playgroup or maybe the walking club. Current members can catch up with old friends and meet new friends. Email me for more information.
Currently we are planning our September calendar. Look for that in your mail at the end of the month.
Leave a comment if you have ideas for upcoming club events.
